Swap Drug Addiction for a Surfing Addiction

    Found in Surf News,

As avid surfers, we all know how addicting this sport is. And you’ve probably heard about people switching one addiction for another. For example, some drug addicts have been known to “trade in” their drug addiction for an addiction to working out. People have overcome drug addiction with running (think, runner’s high) and lifting weights. Endorphins, which are chemicals, the same thing drugs are, get released into the brain and they feel good.
